The Shops at Target: Target Launches Specialty In-Store Boutiques

Art Zulu loves Target's approach to providing fun and innovative ways to excite the consumer's interest. Art Zulu's key focus is working with retailers to bring fresh, new ideas to the consumer. Building on its reputation of making great design accessible to all through notable retail partnerships (i.e. Missoni and Jason Wu), Target is introducing a new design program, The Shops at Target.
Through this ongoing program, Target will partner directly with the shop owners of specialty stores and boutiques to co-create affordable, limited-edition collections. The local boutiques will be given the opportunity to reach a larger audience given the 1,800 Target locations.
The Shops at Target features five exclusive collections from five U.S. specialty stores: San Francisco’s The Candy Store, Aspen’s Cos Bar, Boston’s Polka Dog Bakery, Warren, Connecticut’s Privet House and Miami Beach’s The Webster. The Candy Store is a novelty confectionary Cos Bar is a cosmetic boutique that sells luxury skincare products, Polka Dog Bakery sells dog treats and toys, Privet House sells home décor accessories. The Webster boasts a collection reminiscent of the easy-going, haute-happening lifestyle of Miami Beach to Target customers nationwide.
The collections reflect each shop owner’s unique perspective, offering Target’s guests the opportunity to experience each shop’s distinct aesthetic. The Shops at Target hits stores and Target.com on May 6, 2012.
